Our focus this afternoon was on making timelines and presentations. We listened to interviews about Madison Stewart and Scott Neeson (who Afonso refused to believe was a real person) and then watched videos about them:

There was an interesting discussion between some students about whether or not it is possible to be happy without money. Well done those students for having an animated debate in English!
Some people weren't sure about how to use the past perfect tenses. Don't worry, we'll look at this again in a future lesson.
After the break we watched a video - Wrong Side of Heaven - about heroes who serve their country and are then discarded by it.
You then worked in groups of three, researching a hero, making a timeline of their life, and preparing a brief presentation about them to give the class. You will give your presentations to the class at the beginning of next class, so make sure you're ready. If you didn't quite finish in class, make sure to coordinate with the other members of your group before next lesson!

1. Make sure your presentation and timeline are ready. Nicely presented timelines will go on the board!
