Writing Homework SC1 Friday and Saturday Class

Homework is EITHER:

i) Do the writing task in activity 4, page 54 of the coursebook.

OR

ii) Answer this question:
You recently saw the film 'War of the Buttons'. Write a review of this film and another film of your choice, comparing their suitability for use in the English language classroom, and saying which one you think would be more suitable and why.

OR

iii) Answer this question:
An international student magazine based in the UK is seeking reviews from students of films that focus on people who have contributed to society. Write a review of a film which focuses on the life of someone who has contributed to society, commenting on whether you learned anything new about the person’s life from the film, and whether it helped you understand what motivated this person to make their contribution. The person in the film you review should either be from the UK or from your country of origin.

All reviews should be 220-260 words. To be handed in either next class (3/4 February) or the class after (10/11 February).

Last class and homework for 27 or 28 January

The important things to have covered for next class, if you missed the class, are the grammar exercises (2, 3 and 4) on page 49 of the coursebook, and the reading exercises 2 and 3 on page 50 of the coursebook.

Homework was the vocabulary exercises (5 and 6) on page 50 of the coursebook, and read the text, 'Naturally High' on page 52 of the coursebook.

I will put links to TED talks up here next week.
