That's an idea!

Next week, we're going to start looking at inventions and ideas. Here is a website which talks about young innovators - young people who have invented things or who have had new ideas. Click on this page and answer these questions. I think this is easier than last week's homework!

1) How old was Shirley Temple when she started dance classes?
2) What does Russell Moore love?
3) How old was he when he invented his waterworks toy?
4) What is the name of the organization Janine Licare formed?

Have a look at other people and their ideas on this site. What is your favourite?

Next week, we'll look at ideas and inventions, and play some games about them!

Have a good weekend!

Robert Ballard

This week, we're going to read about Dr. Robert Ballard. Look at this information about Robert Ballard on the National Geographic site.
http://www.nationalgeographic.com/explorers-program/eir/rballard.html

See how much you understand. Can you answer these questions?

Which famous shipwreck did he find?

How many deep sea missions has he been on?

How many students does his Jason programme reach?

Who presented him with an award in 2003?

Here are some more interesting internet sites about Robert Ballard:
