Test Revision

Remember, this week you have a little more test material to do. This week we'll be looking especially at comparative and superlative adjectives (see page 17 in your student's book). This should be revision from last year, so look at your book and lesson notes from last year, too. Here are some links to help you practice this language:

Link One - Comparatives

Link Two - Comparatives

Link Three - Superlatives

Comparative and Superlative Quiz

Patricia Pérez Miguel, a teacher from Buenos Aires, put some notes on her blog, The English you Need, to help her students with comparative and superlative adjectives. There are some nice games linked from here, too. Click here to go to Patricia's blog.

Play Games with Birds

There are some cool games on the RSPB Kids website. Click here to design your own bird and put it on a new planet, and feed the fussy birds at the Woodlands restaurant. Great fun!

Homework from 15th November

Hi everyone. First of all, well done for your work in the computer room yesterday. Some of the information you needed was quite difficult to find!

The homework for this weekend was:

Page 19 of the Student's book. This should be revision, and it will help you with some new work next week.

Page 17 of the Student's book, exeercise 10 (c) - write a story about an invention. To help you with this, you can use these links on the internet:

Famous Inventions A-Z

Wikipedia

Google

Use Alex's story as a model. You can write about anything you like, but remember it should be an invention, not a discovery!

Finally, remember that next week is test week! So you should do some revision of the work we have done up to now this term.

Grangeton

Look at what happens at one primary school in England! The school has become a town... with a university! And a Mayor!

Go to the town's (the school's?) website. Click here: Grangeton

Click on Media Teams to see the students TV, Radio and Newspaper. Look at the Museum and see what you can buy in the Shops! Click on Buddies and see the children doing first aid.

Can you answer these questions?

What's the school Motto?
What language do you think they speak in the Language Café?

Ah! HERE's the school's website! Click here: http://www.grangeton.com/

At Grange School, every Friday morning, the children don't have lessons. They have a University in school, and they choose which workshop to go to! Click on the yellow 'University' button on the right, and then choose 'Workshops Offered'. What would you like to do?

See if you can find the pictures of the Summer Fair 2005. They're in 'Archives'. The man getting wet is the Headteacher!

Guy Fawkes

This isn't homework! There wasn't a homework from the YLZone blog, because the website I wanted to use closed down! :(

These links are for our class on Tuesday November 6th. You can look at them before the class if you like.
